2008 Season - Week 3

BUMS Red Cross Hospital

It’s been a bad start to the season for BUMS owners with only John, Dave S and Wayne not affected by player injuries through 3 weeks. Here’s a breakdown of the bad luck that has affected the other 13 unlucky owners. As well as the number 1 pick in the draft going down with a season ending injury in week 1 Aaron has also been without the services of his 2nd year franchise receiver Reggie Brown through 3 weeks. Marcus has seen his first round pick Randy Moss suffer due to the loss of Brady and has lost TE Dallas Clark for one and a half games so far with a knee injury. George has yet to see WR Dante Stallworth play after he strained his groin in week 1 warm ups. Also WR Keary Colbert missed the first 2 games in Denver before being traded to Seattle. In the Premiership Chief is missing half his team:- Franchise QB Vince Young went out for a month in week 1 with knee & hamstring injuries; Franchise RB Laurence Maroney missed week 3 with a shoulder injury; first round pick Brian Westbrook is day-to-day with an ankle sprain (high ankle sprains can drag on for months, low one’s can heal quick). Now TE Jeremy Shockey is out 3-6 weeks with a sports hernia. Bernard Berrian is battling a toe injury for Daz. Cheryl’s franchise QB Ben Roethlisberger is effected with shoulder and hand injuries while it’s just been announced her other Franchise player Willie Parker is out for week 4 (knee). Nate Burleson went out for the season in week 1 with a knee injury and Devin Hester missed week 3 (ribs). For AP wideout Sidney Rice missed week 3 with a knee injury. Mark B has yet to see his kicker Laurence Tynes score a point due to a knee injury while his back up John Carney is the league’s highest scorer with 35 points. Tynes is due back for week 5.
